New modules available in the Pharmec Cabinet software application

noi module Pharmec Cabinet

The software applications that we develop within Cegedim RX are in continuous evolution, constantly integrating new functionalities and modules to best meet the needs of our users in the health field and beyond.

Pharmec Cabinet, the leader of IT applications for general practitioners in Romania, illustrates this perfectly. Our application has been enriched in recent months with several new modules that expand both the range of services that can be managed with it and the range of functionalities that doctors can rely on for their daily work in the medical office.

Here is a brief overview of the last 4 such modules developed since the beginning of this year in the Pharmec Cabinet application: Day Hospitalization, Pharmec Home Care, SMS Module and PNS-CNX Module.

Day Hospitalization

This module has been developed to meet the needs of GPs whose patients require more than quick treatment or investigations, for whom a regular consultation is not enough. In these cases, when remaining at the hospital overnight is not necessary, the functionalities offered by the Day Hospitalization module represent the ideal solution through which:

  • Patients benefit from safe and effective medical services, adapted to their needs and settled by the National Health Insurance House, through an admission with a maximum duration of 12 hours
  • Doctors make their office work easier and focus on the most important aspect – medical consultations and the relationship with their patients

Home Care Services Module – Pharmec Home Care

To support doctors or health facilities that have concluded NIH contracts for medical or palliative care at home, our experts have developed a dedicated module within the Pharmec Cabinet application, namely Pharmec Home Care. The home care module brings considerable advantages to this category of doctors/health facilities, allowing:

  • Easily creating home care records for patients
  • Quick recording of diagnoses and services prescribed by the doctor who made the recommendation for home care, as well as its details
  • Automatic synchronization of NIH decision data with the SIUI server
  • The correct submission of the SIUI-DOM monthly reporting

SMS Notifications

Thanks to the SMS notification integrated into the appointments module in the Pharmec Cabinet application, doctors can prevent consultation no-shows and quickly streamline the activity of the entire medical office. Our app can manage the configuration and automatic generation of several types of text messages for patients, based on different events:

  • Appointment Confirmation SMS – to confirm an appointment
  • Appointment Reminder SMS – to remind of an appointment 24 hours in advance
  • Letter Expiration SMS – for medical letter expiry warning, 7 days before expiry
  • Prevention SMS – if the patient has not come to any consultation in the last 12 months
  • Anniversary SMS – on the occasion of the patient’s birthday

The configuration of these notifications is intuitive, simple and fast, by defining the following elements directly in the application:

  • The type of SMS notifications to be automatically sent to patients
  • The content of the messages, customizable according to predefined fields in the application
  • The date and time when the notifications are to be sent

Sending out automatic SMS notifications to remind patients of appointments or other important events brings multiple benefits to any practice. First of all, the number of appointments kept increases, while the list of all appointments can be viewed in real time, at any given moment. The interaction with patients is also simplified through more effective communication, which also brings about significant time, costs and energy savings.

PNS-CNX Module

This module is dedicated to providers of health services which are related to the medical act – psychologists and speech therapists – under the National Health Program (acronym in Romanian – PNS).

The PNS-CNX module therefore comes to ease the daily activity of these professionals, in order for them to be able to offer the best services to their patients. Thus, they have access to a software solution adapted to the specificities of their activity, while also having more time to dedicate to the actual therapies and each patient relationship.

All these modules are yet another proof that within Cegedim RX we remain, as always, receptive to the feedback and evolution of the needs of healthcare professionals, continuing to integrate new useful functionalities into our applications. The greatest satisfaction for our team comes from the fact that, through the software solutions we develop, we can make concrete improvements in the lives of doctors and pharmacists who trust our applications and implicitly in that of their patients.
